Last week, Google announced that you can now manually ping their blog search engine.

If you don’t know what ping is, you may want to read my previous article “Don’t Forget to Ping” about ping and its useful purpose.

The direct link to Google’s pinging services can be found here. For Wordpress users, you can add http://blogsearch.google.com/ping/RPC2 to your “update services” (located under options/writing in your admin menu panel).
