My wife has got me hooked on Miami Ink, a TV based “reality” show. It is about a tattoo shop in Florida of the same name (co-owned by Ami James and Chris Nuñez) showing a group of artists with their customers, their backstory and motivations for their tattoos.

I am not sure how other tattoo artists are but these ones on TV are out of this world – they are extremely talented, each with their own style and speciality. It is hard enough trying to draw the intricate details of a picture themselves, let alone tattoo it on someone. Although I would not get one myself, I do have a true appreciation of them and their beautiful art.

Within the group, Chris Garver is supposed to be one of the world’s best tattoo artist in the world with his many years of experience learnt from his travels throughout the globe. Found this on the Internet too, for those who want to get tattooed by the best of the best, the Miami Ink shop’s address is 1344 Washington Avenue, Miami, FL 33139.

    I LOVE this show. In order to get tattooed by them, you have to apply/audition. They are awesome, though.

    Garver is AMAZING. I don’t have a tattoo nor do I want one but as an artist I appreciate his talent. I prefer this show to the Hart&Huntington Inked.

    Shelli: You have to apply and audition? wow, pretty good for being a new business i.e. to be on TV and all.

    Grins: Yup Garver is amazing. I like Kat – she is different – not too sure about the tatoo on the face though but I guess that fits in with her unique self. I haven’t heard of Hart&Huntington.

    I lo-o-o-o-o-ove that show, too! I always am ready to run out and get a tat after every episode. Of all the artists, I would love to get tattooed by Garver, as well. He also seems to be the most down-to-earth of the bunch.

    I agree, Garver is the down to earth one, everyone else has a little attitude but that’s what makes the show!
