I don't watch it since I'm not in the country, but sometimes at the end of our tuesday night bible studies we gather round and share our favourite You Tube vids. We saw Terry and thought it was cool, then I was excited to find out that the season was still going! Glad he won. Cas Haley seemed good too, I'm sure someone will want to offer him a CD deal or something, with that much publicity. For sure! I wouldn’t even know that, would I not keep hearing it from Americans in particular.

Yes, his first single and album were a hit (but not just in Germany), he was popular in Germany at the time of Knight Rider & the first two or three seasons of Baywatch (and in many other countries too), but his fame wasn’t extraordinary! Actually, after a very short hype his general popularity faded rather quickly and soon Germans found him just as annoying as everyone else on this planet.

I think Hasselhoff himself spread the rumor that he was so extremely popular in Germany. And I can imagine several reasons why he did that. But fact is, it’s not true.

Oh yeah, his German nickname is Hässlichdoof. It means ugly-stupid.
